The Green Bay Packers would have surely heard that Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently considered one of the most skilled basketball players in the NBA. Sadly, this season wasn’t kind to him as the Bucks star had an early exit from the playoffs.
The 28-year-old comes from a family of basketball players and was also awarded the MVP after winning the championship. With an early exit from the playoffs, Giannis wants to spend his time doing something else and maybe give a shot in the NFL.
Giannis recently revealed that he would love to try out for the Green Bay Packers as their No.1 QB. This was meant as a joke through a filter from Instagram reels which determines the round and the number of your pick from the NFL draft.
The ‘Greek freak’ played the draft game on Instagram and shared his results. He was picked up by the Green Bay Packers in the 2nd round. Giannis was delighted and desired the No.1 QB spot as a joke.
“I’m taking my talent to the Green Bay Packers,” Giannis Antetokounmpo stated. “If you need a quarterback, I’m available for the next couple of months. I got nothing going on.”
Although, all of this was just a joke by Giannis and he’ll never leave the NBA for NFL, there is some irony attached to it. Aaron Rodgers has just departed from the Packers to join the New York Jets and things have been pretty shaky for the Green Bay based team since then.

The Green Bay Packers have decided to promote Jordan Love to QB1
Jordan Love was drafted as the replacement for the legendary QB Aaron Rodgers. However, the Green Bay Packers made the young QB sit on the sidelines for 3 season before giving him his chance.
Fortunately, Rodgers has left the Packers and Love has finally got his chance. However, many NFL analysts are still not sure about his capabilities as a starting QB and believe he will fail miserably.
Nonetheless, the Packers have decided to go with him anyways and the QB will get his shot despite unfavourable performances. The 24-year-old QB will also have massive expectations as he will be replacing one of the best QBs of all time. However, Jordan believes he is grateful for his time learning with the veteran QB and won’t shy away from all the responsibilities of the starting QB.
