“He is in good spirits” Commanders RB Brian Robinson Jr. hospitalized after being shot multiple times during a robbery attempt

Brian Robinson Jr. succumbed to non-life threatening after being shot multiple times during a possible robbery attempt. The incident happened on Sunday evening in Washington D.C. at around 6 pm.

When the police arrived on the scene, they located the Commander’s RB injured and suffering from a couple of gunshot wounds in his lower extremities. The police took Robinson to the nearest hospital.

The 23-year-old was treated and had non-life-threatening injuries, according to the doctors. The co-owners of the Commanders Dan and Tanya Snyder, President Jason Wright and head coach Ron Rivera, all were present at the hospital as a show of support for Brian.

“I just got done visiting w/Brian,” Rivera said in a tweet Sunday night. “He is in good spirits and wanted me to thank everyone for their kind words, prayers, & support. He wants his teammates to know he appreciates them all for reaching out and he loves them all & will be back soon doing what he does best.”

Fortunately, the injuries were not lethal and as a result, Robinson will be back playing for the Commanders as soon as he is fit and able. As for the culprits who caused this incident, the police have identified two possible suspects and have also recovered a firearm. The investigation is ongoing and soon we’ll hear from them.

Brian Robinson Jr. was the third-round NFL draft pick out of Alabama this year, the RB was drafted because of his impressive ability to run inside with pace and power, though he is not a starter for the team yet, he will have to fight for a starting spot with Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic.

Robinson travelled with the team for their preseason finale against Baltimore Ravens but did not play. The Commanders will next face the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first game of the season.
