Henry Ruggs III is a former professional football player who had a bright future in the sport. However, an unfortunate incident has since then changed the course of his life and everything around it.

The former NFL WR waived his right to a preliminary hearing and has decided to plead guilty to charges of DUI against him, leading to death. Life is always fleeting and can change in an instant. Such was the case for Henry, who was charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in 2021.

According to many reports, the 24-year-old is going to spend somewhere between 3-10 years in prison after pleading guilty to his crimes. Henry took a plea deal and due to that, one count of DUI was dropped. However, the other still remains.

“This is the first step toward a fair resolution to this matter and we look forward to closure for all the parties involved,” David Z. Chesnoff and Richard A. Schonfeld, Henry Ruggs III’s attorney, stated in a statement.

The district attorney has chosen not to reply to the situation yet and will comment after the hearing is completed. The Raiders immediately released Henry when they heard about the charges against him that occurred on the unfortunate night of November 2, 2021.

Tina Tintor, aged 23, was driving in a Toyota RAV4 with her dog Max. Henry Ruggs III had just bought his new Corvette and decided to take it for a spin in Las Vegas Valley towards the west of the strip.

Ruggs was driving fast at around 156 mph while his girlfriend accompanied him. Assumingly, the former Raiders WR wasn’t able to handle the high speed and hit Tina with massive force. The contact was brutal, and it led to the death of Tina Tintor and her dog Max by burning.

According to reports, Ruggs was extremely drunk during the incident and refused to take a field sobriety test. He was taken into custody instantly but later was released on a bail of $150,000.

Since then, he has been on House arrest with alcohol monitoring. The upcoming hearing will determine the faith of Henry Ruggs III who has since then lost everything his career had to offer due to an avoidable mistake.
