Davante Adams has landed himself in hot waters as the star wide receiver now faces assault charges for the post-game incident where he pushed a cameraman in frustration after a 1-point loss. Adams and his Las Vegas Raiders are not having the best of times with a 1-4 record, legal troubles were the last thing he wanted.

Adams later apologized through a social media post for his behavior which didn’t seem to help him much. His behavior has been widely criticized and in addition to the legal charges, Adams may face disciplinary action from the league which can range from a financial fine to a suspension. With the world weighing in on the matter Adams’s former teammate and 4 time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers also spoke on the issue.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were an unstoppable Quarterback-Wide receiver duo and were amongst the best in the league. Rodgers surely must be missing his no.1 weapon and seemed taken aback by the troubles Adams faces per Ryan Wood

Rodgers said he was surprised by the situation and that he loves Davante Adams. He even reached out to him after the game although he did admit that he hadn’t seen the clip of the incident but the situation is surprising to him. When asked whether he was surprised by Adams’ shove or the charge that he faces, Rodgers admitted to being surprised by the legal charges levied on Adams.

Adams and Rodgers post their split have been struggling with Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers having a 3-2 record with the latest loss coming at the hands of New York Giants in London, the offense has been struggling big time and the impact of Adams’ departure is evident. On the other hand, Adams’ Las Vegas Raiders are 1-4, and Adams despite performing is not a game-changer like he was in Wisconsin.

For now, Adams will be hoping for a quick and easy resolution to the personal problems at hand regarding the ‘assault.’
