The lawyer tasked with the investigation of the welfare fund scandal of $94 million was fired under false circumstances. Brad Pigott was leading the investigation for the department of Human Services of the state of Mississippi. He was fired by the MDHS director Bob Anderson.
This led the people to believe that a bigger conspiracy is involved that finally came to light after months when the texts involving Brett Favre were finally leaked.
“All I did and I believe all that caused me to be terminated from representing the department or having anything to do with the litigation was to try to get the truth about all of that,” Brad Pigott said over his termination.
The MDHS later released a comment when asked for the reason to fire Brad Pigott by saying “it was decided that a semiretired solo practitioner was not the right person to sign on for more work.”
