On Thursday, the Detroit Lions led by their star quarterback Jared Goff went against their AFC North division rivals, the Green Bay Packers in their week 12 matchup. Since it was a Thanksgiving game, the league had American Rapper Jack Harlow performing at the Ford Field for the halftime show.

The 25-year-old rapper emerged from an ice cave in the endzone of the Ford Field and performed ‘What’s Poppin’ as his first song. He went on to sing many of his hit songs including  ‘Industry Baby’, ‘First Class’ and ‘Lovin On Me’. The performance was a good opportunity for Harlow, who could’ve roped in some new fans to his music.

However, things didn’t go well for Harlow during the performance. Fans on social media immediately started bashing the Rapper for his ‘dull’ performance at the Thanksgiving performance. People weren’t impressed by the production and the set design of the show either. Many, including ESPN’s Pat McAfee, felt like Harlow was set up to fail due to the production.

People also were confused by Harlow’s hype man abruptly leaving the stage just a minute after the performance started. In brief, the performance was nothing short of a disaster. By, comparison, the 77-year-old singer Dolly Parton‘s performance at the Dallas Cowboys–Washington Commanders game received much praise from the fans.

Harlow is a 25-year-old singer, who is known for his hit songs like  ‘Tyler Herro,’ ‘First Class’, and ‘WHAT’S POPPIN.’ Furthermore, he has also collaborated with many great performers including Eminem, Drake, and Lil Wayne. He has been nominated for the Grammy Awards 6 times and also recently made his debut in Hollywood.

On the sporting side of things, the Lions suffered a brutal 22-29 loss against the Packers on Thanksgiving night. Goff had a great game as he completed 29 of his 44 pass attempts for 332 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he couldn’t help his team outscore the Green Bay-based football team in their crucial matchup.

NFL fans on social media were not impressed by Jack Harlow’s performance at the halftime show of the Thanksgiving game between the Lions and the Packers.

Nonetheless, the Lions ended up suffering a brutal loss on Thursday and fell to 8-3. Next, they are scheduled to face the New Orleans Saints next Sunday in their week 13 matchup. Goff and the Lions would look to bounce back from their week 12 victory by defeating the Saints.
