One of the most iconic sights in the NFL is Pittsburgh Steelers’ fan base, Steeler Nation, waving around their Terrible Towels. It creates a sea of yellow in the Acrisure Stadium that can rival the best sporting images of all time. The Jacksonville Jaguars will visit Pittsburgh this Sunday and their QB Trevor Lawrence is well aware of what awaits them in the Steel City.

Both these teams are coming off impressive wins in their previous games. The Steelers went on the road, to the SoFi Stadium and pulled off a gritty victory against the Los Angeles Rams. The Jaguars on the other hand went to the Superdome and came out with a seven-point victory against the New Orleans Saints. They will face off against each other for the first time this season and with Lawrence ‘disrespecting’ the Yellow Towels, this game might get fiery pretty quickly.

Lawrence said when asked about the Terrible Towels of the Pittsburgh Steelers:

I know what they are.

He added:

Those little yellow towels they swing around.

He had a cheeky smile on his face when he said that. He further talked about playing in ‘cool stadiums’ like the Acrisure Stadium.

Lawrence concluded:

I'm excited. It's definitely one to check off the list, like playing in cool stadiums, historic places. And Pittsburgh is just, their whole organization has an aura around them, it's really cool.

The Jaguars have been playing some excellent football in the past few weeks. They have found their groove after a rough 1-2 start. The team has four games on the trot and Lawrence is a huge reason for that. The QB has been playing elite football so far but will face a very stingy defense and a hostile crowd this Sunday.

Bill Cowher calls out Trevor Lawrence for his ‘little yellow towels’ comment

Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars are 5-2 through seven games of the season. They have been high on confidence and are playing amazingly well. That confidence has led to Lawrence hilariously calling the Pittsburgh Steelers famous ‘Terrible Towels’ as ‘little yellow towels’ and that has not gone well with former Steelers HC Bill Cowher.

Bill Cowher said on the latest edition of The Pat McAfee Show:

Trevor Lawrence talked about those 'little gold towels' this week. Little gold towels?? Little?? Little gold towels? Come on Trevor, it's not called a little gold towel, it's called a Terrible Towel! And you're going to be terrible because this towel is going to make you terrible. That's why it's called a Terrible Towel.

Lawrence so far this season has thrown for 1,643 yards, eight touchdowns and just three interceptions. He has a QBR of 60.6 and has completed 67.4 per cent of his passes. He has led the Jags to four consecutive victories so far this season and will look to do the same against the Steelers this Sunday. Beware of the ‘little yellow towels’ though, Mr. Lawrence.
