Jaire Alexander gave everyone the perfect example of walking the talk when he got the better of one of the best WRs currently in the league. The Packers CB looked like a different player and the same can be said about the Packers team who are currently in flying form right now and have won 4 games on the bounce.

The Packers were up against the deadly Vikings yet again. After losing to them miserably, it was time for payback and showing who’s the better amongst them. During their first meet, Vikings WR Justin Jefferson was deadly and ran a riot around the Packers’ defense. However, it was a completely different story the second time around as Alexander resisted Jefferson to just one reception throughout the entire game, making it his career-worst performance.

The 25-year-old CB has developed a rivalry with Jefferson since their week 1 matchup and even called Jefferson’s exceptional 2 touchdown performance a fluke.

“I was able to follow him..I was able to go to his side all game and I’m the type of person, I’m going to match intensity so that’s what I did all night,” Alexander stated after the game. “I mean hats off to him. He’s still in my top-three receivers, he’s still a great receiver, but I’m confident in myself and I said what I said and I meant what I said.”

Jaire Alexander did the ‘Griddy’ in front of Justin Jefferson

Alexander was out for blood and retribution as the CB looked completely focused and vowed to defeat Jefferson in a one-on-one scuffle. During the first quarter, Alexander deflected a pass from QB Kirk Cousins meant for Jefferson and while the WR was lying on the ground, Alexander did the griddy right in front of him.

‘The Griddy’ is Justin Jefferson‘s signature celebration that he does after every touchdown. Therefore, it was meant as huge disrespect towards JJ, who was struggling to find the ball throughout the game.

The Packers CB should get the deserved credit to be true to his words and doing what he was supposed to do in the first game between the Packer-Vikings itself. The Green Bay-based team now are in a strong position to make the playoffs as Aaron Rodgers and co. only need to win against the Lions in their last game of the regular season.

The Packers have proudly turned their whole season around while everyone stands silent in utter disbelief.
