Jalen Ramsey on Derwin James' extension
Once upon a time two of the best defensive players in the NFL were playing college ball for the same team. Jalen Ramsey the Rams’ first-team all-pro Cornerback and Derwin James the Chargers’ first-team all-pro-Strong Safety were once college teammates when they lined up side by side for the Florida State Seminoles where they ran through offences. Later both were drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
Now both are not only counted among the best in the game but are also cross-town rivals as Ramsey is part of the Super Bowl Champions Los Angeles Rams while James plies his trade for the local rivals Los Angeles Chargers. That doesn’t mean that Ramsey still doesn’t support his old teammate as recently when James signed a 4 year, $76.4 million contract extension Ramsey was one of the first to congratulate him and he also showered James with high praise.

Jalen Ramsey calls Derwin James more deserving of the contract than anyone
Ramsey took to Twitter to congratulate James and said-“LETS GO!!!!! Dinner on you now lil bro @DerwinJames … you deserve this new contract more than anyone! BEST IN THE BUSINESS!.”
James’ extension has made him the highest-paid safety in the history of the NFL. The contract averages out to $19.1 million per year and includes $42 million in guarantees. Ramsey and his team are getting ready to defend their title whereas James and his Chargers are hoping to become the new LA team to win the Super Bowl.
