Former NBA basketball player turned sports analyst, Jalen Rose hasn’t held himself back since getting to know about the financial part of Brady’s deal. Rose was previously vocal about the disparity in pay between the broadcasters on the basis of their colour.

He stated that black people have to work a lot more in order to earn the same amount of money as others.

In an interview with ESPN, a few years ago, he said, “But what we have to do, as former athletes and Black people, is always ask: who’s the Black version of that successful picture? When you’re watching your favorite basketball or football game, very minimal Black play-by-play folks, very minimal Black hosts, very few former basketball players are getting paid top dollar.

Jalen Rose responded to a fan account on Twitter which elaborated the same issue of pay disparity after the figures of Tom Brady’s deal with Fox Sports came to light.

Rose replied with five “speaking out” emojis on the tweet which claimed, “Something ain’t right if Brady gets $275 million for 10 years and he’s never stepped foot into a TV studio while Jalen Rose is a 20-year TV vet and he might not ever touch that kinda money unless his production company goes off.”
