It seems like the Seattle Seahawks defensive back Jamal Adams didn’t get the memo properly the first time he lashed out at a medical staff. The Seahawks DB has now committed the same mistake again and was slammed with a heavy fine for it. The incident in question happened during Seattle’s Week 6 loss against the Cincinnati Bengals last weekend.
According to a report by CBS Sports, the league has fined Jamal Adams $50k for “directed verbal remarks and inappropriate physical contact” with the unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant (UNC) during the Seahawks’ week 6 game. The video of the incident was reviewed by the league before they laid a massive fine on Adams.
The incident, which happened last Sunday, came after a similar incident earlier this month during the Seahawks’ October 2 game against the New York Giants. During that Monday Night Football game, Adams was caught on ESPN camera when he yelled at another doctor, who was checking the Seahawks DB for a concussion.
The league considered fining Adams for that incident but ultimately decided not to since he was concussed during the heated incident. Furthermore, he also issued a public apology and took accountability for his actions.
“Watching the replay, I am thankful for your patience knowing I wasn’t myself in that moment. You’re a real one and you serve a great purpose that benefits the NFL and so many players. Prioritizing a player’s health is essential. Much respect to you!”

Despite this being a second incident, the league said that the Seahawks’ defensive back is not considered a repeat offender. The league reportedly did not take into account the incidents that happened in Seattle’s MNF game against the Giants earlier this month.
Jamal Adams had a great outing against the Bengals
The Seahawks safety Jamal Adams played his first NFL game in over a year earlier this month. But his much-awaited comeback did not go according to play as he suffered a concussion and was ruled out early in the game.
Later, the 28-year-old defensive back cleared concussion protocol and played an entire game against the Bengals last weekend. He played 46 snaps in the game and registered 4 tackles.
Adams made a big impact on the game, but he could lead his team to a victory against the Cincinnati-based football team. Now, Jamal Adams and the Seahawks (3-2) will square off against the struggling Arizona Cardinals (1-5) in their week 7 matchup this Sunday.
