James Bradberry not spotted at New York Giants’ voluntary work as trade talks intensify for CB

James Bradberry’s troubled time at the New York Giants might finally come to an end this season, as the franchise looks to get rid of him in the current offseason. The cornerback joined the franchise in 2020 signing a 3-year contract worth $45 million.

Bradberry was recently absent from the Giants’ voluntary offseason workouts as reported by Zack Rosenblatt of NJ.com. This has intensified the talks of James Bradberry being sent packing from the squad.

There are currently no suitors for James Bradberry

Things have not worked out for the 28-year old and he saw his initial $45 million contract repealed in 2021 to increase the salary cap at the franchise. His contract was once again in October to further reduce the burden on the franchise, and this time they might finally get him off their grid.

The New York Giants are however, short of options since no team in the NFL has shown considerable interest in signing the 28-year old veteran. If this continues, the New York Giants might have to terminate his contract, but then again that would mean a loss for the franchise.

The $21.8 million cap for the cornerback will be reduced but if he’s sent into free agency they will only save about $10.1 million while a trade to any other team will see them save almost 2 million more. It now remains to be seen, what awaits for James Bradberry in the coming days and where he ends up playing next season.
