Jason Kelce is a strong defensive player in the NFL who has tons of experience. The Philadelphia Eagles Center is a prominent player in the organization. Therefore, it is safe to assume that he knows a lot about the game that many don’t. Recently, Jason was in conversation with his younger brother Travis Kelce on their shared podcast ‘New Heights’.

During the podcast, the pair spoke about players transitioning from the NFL to NBA and the other way around. The Eagles center was adamant that not a single NFL player can play in the NBA. However, he feels that NBA players can have a great time settling into the NFL.

Although Travis disagreed at first, he also agreed with Jason’s new theory. However, he later went on to ask which NBA player could safely transition to the NFL and Jason had an answer ready.

The Eagles star explained to his younger brother how NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal could have played easily in the NFL and would have dominated if made the switch.

“You don’t think Shaq could play in the NFL?… To pick the most obvious answer, he could play receiver, tight end, or defensive end like nobody’s blocking that mo********er. Sticking that big meat pie out there,” Jason Kelce stated on the New Heights podcast.

The Kansas City Chiefs TE finally agreed to his older brother’s assessment after Jason resorted to blurting out NSFW words to make his point. However, Jason was completely correct about Shaq who was an absolute beast on the basketball court. There’s a high possibility he could have done the same in the NFL.

Jason Kelce signs a contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are firmly looking to challenge for the Super Bowl title next season and Jason Kelce will play an integral part in that. The 35-year-old center is one of the most experienced players on the team.

It was speculated that he would retire at the end of last season. However, Jason decided to sign a contract extension for one more year and play with the Eagles. With Jalen Hurts signing a new massive contract with the team, the Eagles are surely looking to win it all next season and will need all the help they can get.

Jason Kelce has reportedly signed a massive new 1-year extension that will see him earn $14.75 million in 2023 alone. This supposedly makes him the highest-paid center in the league and for all the right reasons.
