Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is extremely satisfied with his Madden 24 ratings this season, but that hasn’t been the case in previous editions. The 35-year-old revealed that he would have boycotted the game if he received an under-par toughness rating as he did in Madden 23.
Madden 24 is all set to release on the 15th of August this year, and all the player ratings have already been released. Jason Kelce received an overall rating of 92, but he was more concerned with the toughness rating. He also admonished his toughness rating of 60 that he had received in the previous edition.
“The one thing that did piss me off with Madden, the only rating thing that came out. I was like – F**k that. Last year when the ratings came out my toughness was like a 60. And I was like they can f**king s**t on me for pass blocking all they want. But they will not call me f**king weak. As long as my toughness is up this year, I’m happy with the rating,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast while talking on the subject of Madden 24 ratings.
Jason Kelce wanted a toughness rating in excess of 80 and was jubilant after getting a whopping 96
The Philadelphia Eagles center does not consider himself weak and his personal assessment was vindicated by the toughness rating of 96, allotted to him in the latest edition of the popular NFL game. Kelce learned about his toughness rating on the podcast and naturally, could not hide his happiness.
“Can somebody tell me my toughness rating? I wanna know right now, what my toughness rating is. Anything below 80, I’m boycotting Madden… Toughness 96, they found it!!! I don’t even f**king care what my speed is I just want my toughness up,” Kelce finished off.
Jason Kelce had a brilliant season for the Eagles in 2022/23 leading them to the NFC Championships. He and his younger brother, Travis Kelce created history by becoming the first brothers to face off in the Super Bowl game. However, Jason Kelce failed to come out on top in the family affair, as the Eagles came second on the night.
