Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. He has inspired a lot of athletes to perform to the best of their abilities. One such athlete is NBA star Jayson Tatum. The Boston Celtics star had some free time before their season opener against the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden and he decided to spend that time with Brady at a Make-a-Wish event in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

He was one of the headliners of the event along with Brady and New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge. The athletes participated in various events with nine kids. They spent a lot of one-on-one time with the children as well. Tatum later opened up about his relationship with Brady and talked about the kind of person he is.

Here is what Tatum had to say after the Celtics’ shootaround on Wednesday:

I know him pretty well. I met him when he was still with the Patriots. Tom is the best. He has every reason to be arrogant and all those things, but truly down to earth. He texts me from time-to-time. He watches the games. He’s just a really, really great guy, and to be the best football player of all-time, it says a lot about him.

Brady retired from football earlier this year in January, bringing down the curtain on his illustrious 23-year NFL career. He won seven Super Bowls and finished his tenure in the NFL as the winningest QB of all time. Since retiring, Brady has been focusing on expanding his business portfolio.

Tom Brady claims that Patrick Mahomes is the most likely player to follow in his footsteps

Tom Brady’s achievements are hard to replicate. The seven-time Super Bowl champion is one of, if not the greatest football players at his position of all time. However, Brady thinks that Kansas City Chiefs‘ QB Patrick Mahomes has a chance to succeed him as the next ‘GOAT.’

Here is what Tom Brady said on the ‘Let’s Go!’ Podcast:

I think when I'm looking at guys in pro football, quarterbacks, you know, Patrick [Mahomes] is the one that really stands out. [The Chiefs] done a great job since he's really taken over. He's got a really great coach — like [how] I was fortunate, like how you were fortunate. That helps you and is there for you when things are going good and not good. Gives you the humble pie when things are going good and knows how to pick you up when things aren't good.

Brady also said that the players have to do it for a long time, just like him. In his 23-year career, Brady played in 10 Super Bowls, winning seven. He was a five-time Super Bowl MVP and was a three-time league MVP. He finished his career having won the most games as a QB in NFL history.
