Dak Prescott has been making a lot of headlines but for all the wrong reasons over the past few weeks. Amid his contract restructuring saga with the Dallas Cowboys, he was recently accused of s*xual harassment by a woman called Victoria Shores.
Citing an incident from 2017, the attorney of Victoria Shores, Bethel Zehaie told NBC5 that Dak Prescott and his client used to know each other via Snapchat. One evening, Prescott had invited Shories to join him and a group of people (names not revealed) in an undisclosed place. While the group got into a car, Prescott asked the lady to sit beside him. As she did, the Cowboys quarterback had flashed his genitals. Though the woman had claimed that she had no intention to indulge in any sort of s*xual act, Prescott forced her to get into it.
The attorney of the woman further noted that the victim did not report the incident to the police immediately considering the public influence that Prescott holds. However, she gathered courage and came to the public later. Now, the police are investigating the incident.
Amid the entire fiasco, the veteran owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones opened up regarding the incident. Via the team’s website, the veteran owner noted:
Explore: Patrick Mahomes’ trainer adamant on changing ‘dad bod’ narrative this offseason[.related_content]We are very knowledgeable of it. Of anybody, I can say you work through the legal aspects of it. So, very aware of it. Not uncomfortable with it in any way. Hate it that the issue has to have any negative aspect to it all for everybody concerned. I can say that we’re just very aware of the details and very comfortable.Jerry Jones said
Victoria Shores claimed she was scared of Dak Prescott
As soon as Prescott and his legal team became aware of the incident they filed a lawsuit against the woman. Prescott’s lawyer claimed that his client has great apathy towards the victims of s*xual harassment. He claimed that it was an extortion plot made by the woman.
After Prescott sued the woman, Shores shared her mental condition in the media. In an interview with WFAA, Shores claimed that she was scared to think what Prescott could do using his social position. Shores said:
I was just scared of what he could do if he could ruin my life. If I could get fired from where I was working I don’t know him I don’t know what he’s capable of but I know he’s a big-time football player and I know what’s happening now is exactly what I was afraid of.Victoria Shores said
It is to be seen where the incident heads towards. After the loss in the playoffs last season, the quarterback has only had a problematic NFL offseason, to say the least.
