Jimmy Garoppolo or Tom Brady? Deebo Samuel chooses the better former Patriots QB

Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo had a long partnership in the NFL ever since the latter was drafted in 2014 and spent the first 4 years of his career as a backup to the legendary QB.

Garoppolo then moved to the 49ers and Brady moved to the Bucs. However, the duo still share a great relationship off the field and the 49ers QB have also learned a lot from the 45-year-old.

In the interview, Samuel was asked to choose between the two former QBs who played together. The 49ers QB instantly choose Tom Brady as the better QB than Jimmy Garoppolo, but later went on to clarify that he likes his teammate and said that he gets the job done.

Jimmy G is not a typical outlandish QB who delivers exceptional stats, but he’s a QB who does the job at hand and fits in any system to accommodate the team.

Although the 49ers have youngster Trey Lance and veteran Jimmy G in their fold, there are rumors that they will make a move for Bucs QB Tom Brady next season.

Tom Brady’s contract is expiring this summer and the QB will be free to make his own decision to retire or not. Though recently the Super Bowl-winning QB stated that he does not wish to retire anytime soon.

Brady has also just finalized his divorce due to his decision to play football for yet another season. If the rumors are to be believed, then Brady is not retiring anytime soon and will be looking for a new team to win a Super Bowl at.

The 49ers surprisingly have turned out to be prime candidates to land the star QB. “Brady likes veteran pass-catchers. It takes him a long-time to get comfortable with receivers. They have Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk. Brady is frustrated in Tampa Bay, he has openly complained on his podcast about the team being unprepared.” Colin Cowherd stated on the Herd.

The 49ers will be an ideal team for Brady as they boast an exceptional offense with experienced receivers. However, the 49ers already have two quality QBs who are performing well at the moment. Trey Lance was a disaster when he first started games but is very young and has a long road ahead of him.
