“Joe Burrow stinks without an appendix,” NFL Twitter formulates HILARIOUS theory on QB’s epic failure against Steelers post appendicitis

Twitter on Joe Burrow's dismal performance against the Steelers

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were on a high after a dream Cinderella run last season culminating in a Super Bowl loss to the LA Rams. They were riding a wave of confidence many expected great things out of them this season but their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers was a rude awakening. The Bengals suffered a demoralizing defeat with Burrow having the worst game of his career.

The Steelers went home satisfied with a 23-20 win over Burrow and his Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. Joe Burrow the Bengals 3rd year star Quarterback had the worst game of his career as he had 33 completions of 53 attempts for 338 yards with 2 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. The Bengals focused on improving their offensive line this season after Burrow was the most sacked quarterback in the league last year but the new offensive line didn’t instill much confidence as Burrow was sacked a whopping 7 times by one of the best defenses in football.

Joe Burrow had a dismal first half. Burrow’s 1st pass in the game was a touchdown but by the opposing team as his throw was picked off by Minkah Fitzpatrick for a 31-yard pick-six. He led a resurgence for the Bengals in the 2nd half but it wasn’t enough as there were some mistakes made in the 2nd half too as he threw his 4th interception.

Analysts can list many reasons for Burrow’s dismal performance but the internet seems to have found something quite interesting to blame. Twitter is fun for a reason these wild hilarious theories make our day. Putting that aside the Bengals will be hoping to improve their game as they get ready to face the Dallas Cowboys next week another game that without Burrrow’s magical appendix might be tough.
