On Thursday Night Football, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals suffered a brutal loss against their AFC North division rivals, the Baltimore Ravens in their week 11 matchup. Furthermore, the Bengals also suffered another brutal blow as their star quarterback Burrow left the game early due to a wrist injury.

During the final minutes of the second quarter, the Bengals had a 3-point lead and were looking very comfortable against the tough Ravens defense. However, that’s when things started to go bad for the Cincinnati-based football team. Burrow injured his wrist on a 4-yard touchdown pass to running back Joe Mixon.

And then, on the sidelines, he tried throwing the football but he couldn’t even grip the ball due to his injury. While practicing his throws, Burrow could be seen in obvious pain as he shook his head in disbelief before walking to the locker room. Check out the footage of the incident attached below.

Burrow was then ruled out for the remainder of the game with a wrist injury. Before his injury, Burrow looked solid on the field as he completed 11 of his 17 pass attempts for 101 yards and 1 touchdown. Nonetheless, in his absence, the Bengals’ second-string QB Jake Browning took over at the quarterback position.

As a result, the Bengals’ offense struggled to keep up with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. In the end, they suffered a brutal 34-20 loss in a tough road game. With that loss, the Cincinnati-based franchise fell to a 5-5 record and are currently in the bottom of the AFC North division.

Joe Burrow injury update

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left their week 11 game early due to a wrist injury. And now, their head coach Zac Taylor has shared an update on his injury.

According to reports, Zac Taylor told reporters that Burrow has seemingly sprained his wrist. More about Burrow’s injury will be revealed after further evaluations by the medical personnel.

So far, it seems like Burrow hasn’t suffered any serious injury. But it is possible the Pro Bowl quarterback could miss some time with his injuries. If that happens, that would be a huge blow for the Bengals.

The Bengals are currently holding a 5-5 record and are at the bottom of their division. Without Burrow, it’s almost impossible for them to win their division from here, but they would still hope to secure a wildcard spot in the postseason.
