The rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens is one of the most fierce and heated rivalries in the NFL. As division rivals, the Ravens and the Steelers face each other at least twice every year and always deliver a great game.

On Sunday, the Steelers and the Ravens squared off in their week 5 matchup and it was filled with trash talks. In one instance, the rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. savagely roasted Baltimore’s veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

With just 4:10 left in the game, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore-based football team were marching down the field and were facing a 3rd and goal from the Steelers’ 5-yard line. When Jackson targeted Odell Beckham Jr. in that crucial third down, the Steelers rookie Joey Porter Jr. climbed the ladder to seal the interception against Odell.

A few minutes after the interception, Porter could be seen celebrating with his teammates on the sidelines and the NFL films caught the Steelers rookie roasting the 30-year-old receiver. He further revealed that he already what route Odell was running even before the play.

“I’m like, go ahead and run that, I already knew it was coming,” Porter Jr. said. “Odell. Strapped his old a**. I told him.” Check out the footage attached below.

OBJ was strapped for most of the game by the Steelers’ secondary unit. The veteran receiver only caught 2 passes for 13 yards in the game. In the end, Joey Porter Jr. and the defense helped the Steelers secure a much-needed victory against the divisional opponents and improved to a 3-2 record. Odell and the Ravens will have another shot to clap back when they meet the Steelers again in their week 18 matchup.

Joey Porter Jr. has been a great addition to the Steelers

The Pittsburgh-based football team selected Joey Porter Jr. in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft that concluded back in April. So far, Porter has proven to be an excellent addition to the Steelers’ secondary unit.

Through the first 5 weeks, Porter has registered 1 interception, 6 total tackles, and 2 passes defended. The numbers may not be mind-blowing, but it is undeniable that he has made his presence known on the football field whenever he has played so far.

In the division, which has an abundance of wide receiver talents such as Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Amari Cooper, and Zay Flowers, the talented cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is a great addition to the Pittsburgh-based franchise and he would continue to help the Steelers’ defensive unit for years to come.
