The match between the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons was a close contest. The Packers, despite leading by 24-12 till the third quarter, failed to enhance the lead and ended up losing the game by 24-25.
For the first time in 18 years, the Packers are playing without the legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the player jumped onto the boat of the New York Jets. This season, Jordan Love has been taking care of the quarterback position. After spending three years on the bench, the quarterback is finally assigned the role of the regular starter. The fans are expecting a lot from him despite knowing that it is not easy to step into the shoes of Rodgers.
Love has been in the limelight since the game vs. the Falcons took place. But for some wrong reasons. He made a crucial mistake against the Falcons in the fourth quarter which impacted the result for the Packers. They failed to keep the lead and the momentum and ended up losing the game. Fans and other netizens took the issue to Twitter and trolled him brutally. It will be a tough job to come back in the best of spirits for him in the next game.
Love had an overall good game as he completed 14-of-25 passes for 151 yards. He had an impressive three touchdowns and no interceptions. However, he suffered in the last quarter by a 0-6 passing record, and his ‘fumble,’ cost the team majorly. The Packers were penalized for a false start and had to punt, which set up a 25-yard field goal for the Atalanta.
Jordan Love gets trolled for the failed sneak
It was in the fourth quarter when Jordan Love tried the sneak, and it cost the Packers. He lost his balance and fell into the offensive line. This happened when the Packers were leading 24-22. They ended up losing 25-24.
Matt LaFleur, the Packers head coach, backed his young quarterback so that he did not end up losing his morale. The coach said that Love made the mistake because of the noise in the stadium. However, fans and other netizens did not care about what he said. They trolled Love brutally on social media.
Love, however, took responsibility for his mistake. He said that he deserved the blame as he failed to call the game from the Packers’ end. The Packers were leading, however; they lost the lead, and the mistake had a huge role. Love called for the sneak but did not get the snap when it was expected and started the plunge without the ball.
