Jordan Poyer is entering the final year of his contract and at the age of 31. Poyer is a strong safety for the buffalo bills, he was drafted by Philadelphia eagles in 2013 and has also played for Cleveland Browns.
Poyer had an optimum 2021 season where he collected 93 tackles, five interceptions, three sacks and nine passes defensed in 16 games. Poyer is about to make around $10.8 million in 2022. When asked about the contract negotiations Beane said that “Drew and I have a great relationship, as do us and Jordan, and Drew and I have had many conversations,” Beane said.
“This just happened to work out for him to come up here and do this to start camp, but we’re good. I don’t talk about negotiations, but we love Jordan. Drew is great to work with and that’s probably the extent I’d be willing to talk about it.”
Jordan Poyer is one of the best safeties in the NFL and recently name to the first team All – Pro. Poyer is an important part of the Buffalo Bills who are strong contenders to win the Super Bowl this year, the question remaining here is that can Bills and Poyer work out the deal without exceeding the salary cap?
