Josh Allen revealed that he had a chat with Patrick Mahomes after the Sunday night game. The Buffalo Bills quarterback managed to sympathize with his Kansas City Chiefs counterpart.
Arrowhead Stadium saw a controversial decision to decide the fate of the crucial AFC tie between the Chiefs and the Bills. The officials adjudged wide receiver Kadarius Toney to be offside on the line of scrimmage before finishing the move off with a touchdown.

Mahomes was furious following the final whistle, screaming at the officials for their alleged bad call. He was seen mumbling to Allen that it was the worst call he had ever witnessed in his career. The 28-year-old’s reaction was not taken lightly, especially by sports analysts. Veteran ESPN contributor Stephen A. Smith labeled it ’embarassing‘ and unbecoming of a reigning NFL MVP.
Mahomes had already come out and apologized for his rare outburst in an interview with the local radio channel 610 Sports Radio. Later, he reached out to Allen to clarify his actions and comments. He said,
Patrick reached out to me, and it's football; it's a game of emotions. I know he didn't mean anything by it; the cameras caught the last few seconds of what we were talking about. He is the ultimate competitor; he wants to win, and that's why he is who he is.Josh Allen in Wednesday’s presser
Can Josh Allen take the Buffalo Bills into the playoffs?
It could not be more close in the AFC this season. With just four matchdays remaining, there is only one team that is clearly better than the rest, and that’s the Baltimore Ravens (10-3). Behind them is a whole host of teams—almost 10 of them are fighting for the last three playoff spots.

Unfortunately, as Nick Wright mentioned, the Bills are 11th, but they still have a 50% chance of playing postseason football, according to the New York Times, playoff simulator. The teams ahead of them are the Miami Dolphins (9-4), the Kansas City Chiefs (8-5), the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5), the Cleveland Browns (8-5), the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6), the Indianapolis Colts (7-6), the Houston Texans (7-6), the Denver Broncos (7-6), the Cincinnati Bengals (7-6), and the Bills (7-6).
Josh Allen needs to step up his game further if he wishes to play in another conference championship game. The 27-year-old has completed 318 passes for 3447 yards, scoring 25 touchdowns. However, he has also thrown 14 picks, which is the joint highest in the league with Commander Sam Howell.
The fixtures remaining for the bills are:
- Week 15: vs. the Dallas Cowboys (10-3) [In Buffalo]
- Week 16: Los Angeles Chargers (5-8)
- Week 17: vs. New England Patriots (3-10) [In Buffalo]
- Week 18: Miami Dolphins (9-4)
