It was only the second quarter at the snow-filled Highmark Stadium on Monday night, but it felt as if the game was already out of the reach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Josh Allen made sure to prove a point that his window of Super Bowl glory was not over when he scored the second-longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback in playoff history.

The Super Wild Card Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers finally managed to get past the weather monster and got the green light for a go-ahead. After clearing the 2 feet of snow from the stadium, the game began, and the Bills took a quick 14-0 lead.

Allen was flourishing against a Steelers team without TJ Watt to hunt the Bills quarterback. With just over 7 minutes to go until the second half, Buffalo had the ball on 3rd and 8. They were doing relatively well, completing a couple of 3rd downs prior.

After taking the snap, Allen checked back up and avoided the on-rushing Steelers blitz. Seeing the open yard in front of him, he took off, looking to gain some valuable ground. Then he stopped for a second, faking the Pittsburgh safety, and then got clear to score a 52-yard touchdown, reaching speeds up to 19.33 MPH.

This was the second-longest rushing touchdown by a quarterback and the longest in Buffalo’s playoff history, surpassing a 45-yarder by Joe Cribbs against the Jets in 1981. Only former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is ahead of him with a 56-yard run against the Packers in the 2013 NFC Divisional round.
