On Monday Night football, the Minnesota Vikings led by their quarterback Joshua Dobbs went against their NFC North division rivals Chicago Bears in their week 12 matchup. The Vikings entered the game as home favorites but ended up suffering a brutal last-minute loss against Justin Fields and the Chicago-based football team.

During the fourth quarter of the game, the Vikings were trailing by 6 points and were facing a crucial 1st down and 10 from the Bears’ 17-yard line. Josh Dobbs, who took the snap from the shotgun position, dropped back a few steps and connected with his tight end T.J. Hockenson for a 17-yard touchdown pass.

That was the first touchdown by both teams in that defensive showdown. A fired-up Dobbs was seen screaming in celebration after scoring the first TD of the game. It took more than 3 quarters for Dobbs to throw his first TD in the game. Check out the footage of his reaction attached below.

Dobbs had one of the worst performances of his career so far. He threw 4 interceptions in the game while registering only 185 passing yards. However, the Vikings’ defense managed to keep them in the game till the very last minute.

But Justin Fields and the Bears managed to get into the field goal range in the last minute and ended up winning on the back of a clutch 30-yard kick by Cairo Santos. With that loss, the Vikings fell to a flat 6-6 record and will try to figure out their issues in their bye in week 13.

Kevin O’Connell not committing to Josh Dobbs as the starting QB

Josh Dobbs had a great couple of weeks on the field after taking over the starting QB job of the Vikings. However, his ‘Linsanity’ run came to an end on Monday following his 4 interceptions outing against the Bears.

Kevin O’Connell, the head coach of the Minnesota-based football team, doesn’t commit to the 28-year-old quarterback continuing as their starting signal-caller for the rest of the season.

We're going to take a look, really evaluate the inventory of plays we have of Josh. We got healthy, we got Jaren (Hall) back available to us and then Nick Mullens is available as well.
O’ Connell told reporters.

As previously mentioned, the Vikings will use their timely week 13 bye to analyze their issues. After that, they are scheduled to face the Las Vegas Raiders in a tough road game in their week 14 clash.
