The Las Vegas Raiders lost their third consecutive game this season against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. With that loss, they slipped to 1-3 to begin the season. They started the season with a hard-fought win over the Denver Broncos but then they lost their next three games and are in a mess.
RB Josh Jacobs had his best game of the season against the Chargers but was frustrated with yet another loss on Sunday. However, it wasn’t enough as the Chargers pulled off a 24-17 win. Jacobs after the game was frustrated with the loss and said he was ”tired of losing.” He has been one of the best players for the Raiders during his five years there.
“It’s undisciplined football, and this league is too competitive,” Jacobs told the reporters after the game. He further continued by saying, “I’m tired of losing. Just keep it 100. I’m tired of f*****g losing, man. I feel like every day I go in there and work my a** off, so eventually something got to give.” Jacobs missed most of the offseason due to a contract dispute. He eventually signed a one-year contract upwards of $10 million to stay with the Raiders.
Jacobs was drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, he has established himself as one of the premiere running backs in the league and was named the 12th best player in the list of NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2023. He had a fantastic season last year rushing for more than 1,600 yards and scoring 12 TDs.

The Las Vegas Raiders played the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Although the Raiders lost the game, RB Josh Jacobs had his best game of this season. He had 17 carries for 58 yards and one touchdown. Head coach Josh McDaniels praised his RB after the game.
“I thought he played really hard,” McDaniels said after the game. “I think you can see he’s ready to contribute in every area that he can. I thought he did some decent things in the blitz pickup, I thought he ran the ball hard, I thought he found some lanes there.”
The Raiders will play the Green Bay Packers in their next game on Monday. They will hope to break this losing streak and get a win. Jacobs is starting to find his form after a slow start to the season. It will be fascinating to see how the Raiders bounce back after a tough loss last week.
