Julian Edelman is one of the greatest wide receivers in the New England Patriots franchise’s history. Edelman spent 11 years in the league playing as a slot receiver for the Patriots. Following the 2020 regular season, Edelman announced his retirement in 2021 and has been out of the league ever since. And now, during his free time, the Boston sporting legend Edelman showed up to Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinal matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics to witness Jayson Tatum’s remarkable performance.
Julian Edelman, who has been out of the league for more than two years, was courtside at the TD Garden to witness the game between the 76ers and Celtics in action. The New England icon received loud cheers when he was shown on the jumbotron.

The Celtics faced the 76ers led by the NBA MVP Joel Embiid in a must-win game on Sunday. Tatum, who hasn’t been in his best of forms, had a heroic 51-point performance in game 7 that led to the Celtics kicking out the 76ers from the NBA playoffs. The Celtics forward Tatum had 51 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists in the knockout game.
Jayson Tatum had some help from shooting guard Jaylen Brown who registered 25 points and 6 rebounds. The Celtics advanced to the Conference finals with their dominant 112-88 victory against the Sixers. They will face the Miami Heat in round 3 of the NBA postseason.

Is Julian Edelman a Hall of Famer?

The talented wide receiver Julian Edelman was drafted by the Patriots in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Edelman played as quarterback during his college days and switched his position to wide receiver/punt returner after getting drafted by the Pats.
Under the combination of ingenious head coach Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady, the 5’10” prospered in the league as a wide receiver. During his 11-year-long career with the Pats, Edelman registered 7235 scrimmage yards and 36 receiving touchdowns.
Edelman had his best year in 2019 when he registered 1117 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns for the Patriots. Furthermore, he won three Super Bowl rings and one Super Bowl MVP with the Pats.
However, Edelman never had a Pro Bowl season or even a Second-team All-Pro season in the league despite playing for 11 years. He has never been the best receiver in the league at any point in his career. So, despite his postseason heroics, Edelman will probably never be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
