WATCH: “Caleb Williams can’t do that” – Justin Fields breaking an impossible tackle to rush multiple yards against the Falcons has Bears fans going crazy
Fields had 2,414 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2023, while the Bears now have wins in five straight home games.

Justin Fields showed the football world why he is considered a dual threat. The Chicago Bears quarterback was on song on Sunday night, and Soldier Field loved every second of it.
Going into the Week 17 tie against NFC opponent the Atlanta Falcons, the Bears were favorites by a slight margin. But Fields had other ideas. He orchestrated a 24-7 lead going into halftime, in which he scored a 9-yard rushing touchdown.
Yet the highlight of the game came after the referees restarted the match for the second half. With just under 8 minutes left on the clock until the next quarter, the Bears had possession on 3rd and 8th in their territory.
Fields took the snap, but the pocket closed very quickly as Atlanta players came charging in from all directions. Linebacker Bud Dupree went in for the sack, but the Bears QB dove and avoided him. Then defensive lineman David Onyemata jumped on him and tried for the Gator roll, but it backfired. Fields somehow kept himself up and managed to cut loose.
Football fans were in awe seeing Justin Fields bamboozling Atlanta Falcons players.
The 24-year-old managed to wriggle his way out of a couple of sticky situations, but the play was still on. After forcing Falcons defensive lineman Calais Campbell to lose his footing, Justin Fields took off to secure the first down.
Football fans who tuned in to watch the Bears vs. Falcons game had to rewind a couple of times to understand the brilliance they had witnessed from Fields.
This short clip reminded me how good the Ohio State product can be, and the rumors of the Bears going for Caleb Williams in the next NFL Draft may not be on the cards. A commenter even pointed out that Williams isn’t capable of what Fields just pulled off.
Sharing a wide spectrum of reactions online, here’s what fans have to say:
Lamar Jackson is one of the best when it comes to making darting runs from the line scrimmage. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback averages 51.3 rushing yards per game (16 games) and has 821 yards from 141 carries.
However, Justin Fields has a better game-per-rushing average (52.5) than Jackson. He has only played 12 games and has covered 630 yards on 112 carries.
In the 37-17 win over the Falcons, Fields ran 11 times, gaining 45 yards and a touchdown. Whether the Bears indeed move on from him is still a big question mark. Considering they clinched the first overall pick for the 2024 NFL Draft, anything is possible.
