The Chicago Bears have a number of players out due to injury heading into the final month before the 2022 NFL regular season kicks off. Bears’ 2021 NFL draft pick Justin Fields is all set to take over the starting quarterback role for the coming season and he made a massive comment on the quality of wide receivers his franchise has at the moment.

The Bears are currently without the services of as many as 20 players in the roster which includes the likes of Velus Jones Jr., Byron Pringle, N’Keal Harry, Dante Pettis, David Moore, Cole Kmet, Ryan Griffin, and David Montgomery.

Naturally this has given rise to questions of what quality remains inside the Bears campaign, and Justin Fields has already given a verdict on the issue comparing the wide receivers at his current franchise to Ohio State University’s wide receivers.

Justin Fields said according to a Twitter post, “I’m throwing to guys who wouldn’t have made 6th string at Ohio State. That’s the main adjustment.”

However, the quarterback also claimed that they are doing what they can do to make themselves better before the season kicks off, with whatever resources they have at their disposal.

‘‘We know our offense,’’ Fields said. ‘‘We know the plays. We know what’s supposed to be going on. It’s hard to have an opinion on something when you don’t really know what’s going on on the inside, when you’re just looking at it from an outside view.’’
