Vikings WR Justin Jefferson EMOTIONALLY discloses what being in the ’99 club’ in Madden 24 means to him

The Madden NFL game is the most awaited video game launch of the year for NFL fans. Madden 24 will be released on August 18th this time around and fans have already started to get a sneak peek at what they can expect from this year’s edition.
On Monday, wide receiver ratings have been revealed and Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings shocked everyone by becoming the highest rated. He and Tyreek Hill earned themselves a rating of 99, with Davante Adams getting a 97 rating and Stefon Diggs and Cooper Kupp at 96.
Jefferson was elated with the news and took to Twitter to express his happiness. He revealed that he had dreamed of joining the “99 club” since his childhood and even used to make players of his own on the game to reach the landmark.
“Y’all have no idea what it means to be a 99 in Madden!! Since I was 7y/o I been creating my own player making him a 99 and now I don’t have to,” Jefferson wrote on his official Twitter account following the announcement of the ratings.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson set a new record for the franchise as he became the first player to be part of the “99 club” in Madden NFL 24. The 24-year-old received a rating of 93 last year but his exceptional performances in the past year have also led to a rise in his stocks on the Madden NFL 24 game. Earlier Randy Moss, with a 98 rating, was the highest in Vikings history.
“There’s so many things that I want to accomplish and things that I want to prove to myself,” Jefferson said. “So this is the start of it, but there’s more to come for sure,” Jefferson had said recently while accepting the ESPY award for ‘Best Play’.
Justin Jefferson recorded some of the numbers in the 2022/23 season as he had a total of 128 catches and 1,809 yards. In his career up until now, Jefferson has recorded 476 receptions for 4,825 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.
Josh Allen created history by becoming the first Buffalo Bills player to feature on the cover of the Madden NFL 24 game. Ratings of players according to positions are revealed before the launch every year and the edge rushers list will be out on Tuesday and running backs on Wednesday. Cornerback ratings will be revealed on Thursday while the quarterback ratings will be disclosed finally on Friday.
