Since his debut in this season, C.J. Stroud has stunned everyone with his heroism in back-to-back performances. The QB has done everything to raise his name, among the other heavyweights. No wonder he is at the forefront for the ‘Offensive Rookie of the Year’ award. Some are even considering his name for the MVP award too. If he finally makes it to the MVP then he will be the first rookie since 1957 to win the award.

Amid multiple discussions, analyst Keyshawn Johnson provided his verdict on the rookie. In a recent episode of FS1’s ‘Undisputed’, the analyst said that Stroud is one of the favorites to contest for the MVP award.

If they win their division and he stays on the pace, covers 5,000 yards, 30 touchdowns, 4-5 interceptions, 200 yards rushing, and another five touchdowns, how can he not be a serious contender to win the MVP? So that will certainly put him in front of everybody as the greatest rookie quarterback in the league we have ever seen.

With five wins and four losses, the Houston Texans are presently in the second position in the AFC South division. The Jacksonville Jaguars are ahead of them with 6-3. However, winning the conference will not be easy for the Texans as it contains the likes of the Chiefs, Dolphins, Bengals, and Bills. If they fail to win the division then the Super Bowl and MVP dream for Stroud and Co. will soon start fading away.

C.J. Stroud is becoming the new favorite for the analysts

This is not the first time an analyst has put his bet on Stroud. After winning the hearts of the fans, Stroud has become a new favorite for some analysts. After his heroics in the nail-biting encounter against the Bills, ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe too has considered his name as the possible MVP winner. From the sets of First Take, the analyst advocated his name over others.

C.J . Stroud has played the best QB in the NFL this season. Yes, he’s been that good and I said it. Go argue in a cave with your echo. Could become 1st rookie to win MVP since J. Brown in 1957.

Stroud has indeed some incredible things on the gridiron that no one expected. The first came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he covered 470 yards and had five TDs. His drive against the Cincinnati Bengals has already become one of the greatest individual performances in this year’s NFL. He kept the Texans in the game and secured a victory at the dying moment by arranging a field goal.
