After the win over the Houston Texans, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson revealed his mindset going into the second half of the game. The Ravens signal caller humorously admitted that he cursed himself a lot at halftime.
I did it. A lot of cursing at halftime. It would be inappropriate to say that right here. It would. We were not doing things. The defense was playing well. The offense was also playing well. But we were not doing our job. Our unit... In the second half, we put points on the boards, and started moving the ball.Jackson said while addressing the press.
It was a clutch performance from the Baltimore Ravens against the Texans. Both teams were on the same page in the first quarter as both earned 10 points. But things started changing in the second half due to Jackson’s rushing game. The Ravens had two bombastic quarters as they kept on earning points. In the third, the Ravens earned seven and in the fourth quarter; they bagged 17 points.
While the offense put up a nice show, the defense also contributed well. It did not concede a single point. The Texans bottled, and the defense kept C.J. Stroud silent.
The Ravens marched on to the Championship game led by Lamar Jackson
After successfully beating the Houston Texans, the Baltimore Ravens marched on to the AFC Championship game. It was Lamar Jackson who led the team from the front. The quarterback had a four-touchdown game and that came in a moment when the team desperately needed his service.
The Ravens will be hosting the AFC Championship game for the first time since 1970. This season, they have provided a stellar performance in the regular season. The fittest Lamar Jackson since his 2019 MVP season, registered 24 touchdowns against seven interceptions. The quarterback’s performance in the postseason has been stellar as well, with more than 72% passing completion and zero turnovers.
Ahead of the season, analysts predicted that the Ravens had a great chance to grab Lombardi if Jackson remained fit. Their forecast came true and Jackson had another MVP-like season. He is the frontrunner for the MVP Award presently.
