The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is just one of five players who got a 99 overall rating in the Madden 24 NFL video game. Mahomes had a hell of a run in 2022 as he won his second league MVP award, second championship ring, and second Super Bowl MVP, which resulted in him being the highest-rated QB in the Madden 24 game. Amidst this, the Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson reacts to him being excluded from the exclusive ’99 club’.

“Imma just move it to a 99 wen I get the game,” tweeted Jackson after Madden released the QB overall ratings. The Chiefs QB Mahomes was the only quarterback to score a 99 rating. Jackson was 4th in the QB rankings with a 91 overall rating. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and the Buffalo Bills‘ star signal-caller Josh Allen secured the 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.

The Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is undeniably one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. But due to injuries, he missed 5 regular season games in the 2022 season, which might have affected his ratings. He will look to have a remarkable campaign in the 2023 season, which will result in him getting a better rating in the next Madden game.

Nonetheless, apart from Patrick Mahomes, 4 other players were added to the prestigious Madden 99 club. They are Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson, the Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, the Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald, and the Dallas Cowboys OG Zack Martin.

Madden 24 may not value Lamar Jackson much, but the Ravens certainly do. After months and months of speculations and rumors, the Baltimore-based football team and Jackson finally reached a middle ground on a long-term contract extension in the 2023 off-season.

Back in May, the 2-time Pro Bowl QB Jackson inked a massive 5-year contract extension with the Ravens worth up to $260 million. That contract made Jackson the highest-paid NFL player of all time for a brief period of time till Jalen Hurts signed a bigger deal with the Philadelphia Eagles a few days later.

Now that the contract extension saga is over, the dual-threat QB will be looking to lead his franchise to a Super Bowl in the near future. The Ravens added some new offensive weapons to help Jackson flourish in Baltimore. If Jackson can stay healthy for the entire season, he certainly can lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl ring soon.
