Lamar Jackson‘s situation in Baltimore is getting weirder every day. After plenty of failed contract extension talks, the Ravens placed their franchise QB Lamar under the non-exclusive franchise tag that allowed the QB to negotiate with other teams. But unfortunately, no team in the league has shown interest in the 26-year-old QB so far.

According to reports, Lamar Jackson is expecting a fully guaranteed deal similar to Deshaun Watson‘s contract, which he signed with the Cleveland Browns. But the owners allegedly are not willing to give any QB a fully guaranteed contract and are reportedly hoping that the Watson contract would be a onetime thing. However, the 2-time Pro Bowler Jackson has rejected the claims about him asking for guaranteed money.

And now, the NFL has accused Lamar of using an uncertified agent named Ken Francis to negotiate a contract on his behalf and the league has also sent a memo to the teams to not negotiate any deals with Francis per multiple reports.

“The NFLPA has informed us that a person by the name of Ken Francis, who is not an NFLPA certified agent, may be contacting Clubs and attempting to persuade Club personnel to enter into negotiations with or concerning Lamar Jackson,” the memo read. “Clubs are reminded that, under Article 48 of the NFL Collective Bargaining Agreement, an Offer Sheet, which may result in an NFL Player Contract, may only be negotiated with the player, if he acting on his own behalf, or with the player’s NFLPA certified agent. Violation of this rule may result in disapproval of any Offer Sheet or resulting. Player Contract entered into by Mr. Jackson and the new Club.”

Amidst the league’s claim about the Ravens QB Lamar Jackson involving an uncertified agent to negotiate his contract, the former league MVP has shared a message about mental health after disputing the league’s accusation.

Jackson shared a photoshopped image of actor Ben Affleck wearing Lamar’s Ravens jersey with the caption, “This is Everyday But “It’s Ok not to be ok” Mental health awareness.” The particular Ben Affleck meme is used to express exhaustion, which fits perfectly for Lamar’s situation.

Nobody really knows what is going on with Lamar Jackson since he himself acts as his agent. He is not getting anywhere with the Ravens and even the teams who are in desperate need of a quarterback are shying away from signing the All-Pro QB. Only time will tell where Lamar Jackson will end up in the future.
