Lamar Jackson made a huge bet on himself when he asked the Baltimore Ravens for a contract of more than $200 million fully guaranteed. This request came in after the Cleveland Browns disrupted the quarterback market by signing a five-year $230 million fully guaranteed deal with Deshaun Watson.

The Ravens and Jackson were in negotiations since the start of the 2022 season and the drama spun so out of control that the quarterback once entered the field a card that read the team should pay him. There have been many offers made by Baltimore, but the young star has rejected every single one of them. As reported by ESPN’s Ryan Clark, the Ravens were willing to go as high as $133 million fully guaranteed, which seemed like a lowball offer to everyone in the league.

As both parties were unable to reach a middle point, the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on the 2019 NFL MVP. This tag gives Jackson free rein to have trade talks with any team he wishes. However, many teams backed out because they believe the Ravens will match the offer and keep him in Baltimore. Still, there hasn’t been any news about teams lining outside Jackson’s house to at least have a conversation with him.

Seeing as how Aaron Rodgers rolled out his decision to play for the New York Jets on The Pat McAfee Show, Lamar Jackson has decided to follow suit and talk about his contract extension drama with the Ravens on YouTube. The 26-year-old revealed on his Instagram account that he will be giving an exclusive interview with TruzzProductionz. He wrote, “Sneak peek of an exclusive interview with myself and TruzzProductionz™. Subscribe to the Lamar Jackson Entertainment YouTube page for access to the full interview and link also will be in my bio dropping soon.”

This exclusive is going to spill a lot of secrets and journalists are going to work double time to cover everything that Jackson will have to say. While he hasn’t said what he will be talking about, it might include his past negotiations with the Ravens, how much money they offered him, which teams have been in contact with him, what he wants in his contract, whether he believes team owners are in collusion, why he hasn’t hired an agent to represent him, and if he will hire one now.

It is really baffling to know that more teams aren’t interested in Lamar Jackson who is at the top of his game and is a seasoned quarterback. The reason why teams are backing out is that they aren’t ready to lose their two future first-round picks and hand over a multi-year fully guaranteed deal. While that is a cause for concern, Jackson has proven to be one of the best younger quarterbacks in the league and he is totally worth the risk. There have been times when teams have regretted their first-round picks.

Lamar Jackson is once in a generation type of quarterback and there is no doubt he will be a Super Bowl champion more than once. This exclusive interview with Jackson will surely be an eye-opener for everyone, as the league will get to hear his side of the story and not what the media says. Let’s see why exactly teams haven’t come forward to sign Lamar Jackson!
