Ex-Eagles RB LeSean McCoy takes a dig at the Raiders over Amy Trask’s baseless comments on Brock Purdy

For one Amy Trask, there’s a LeSean McCoy [Shady]. Trask, like countless other sports analysts and pundits, has a divisive opinion on Brock Purdy. On the other hand, some prefer to defend the San Francisco 49ers quarterback.
The 62-year-old former Raiders executive, Trask, did not shy away from making her stand clear on what she believes Purdy’s status is in the pro-football food chain. During her regular appearance on the ‘What the Football’ podcast via The Rich Eisen Show, she called the second-year player the worst quarterback left in the playoffs.
Keep it in mind; she probably did not take into account that this was the 24-year-old’s second consecutive year playing postseason football, unlike a few others who have been part of the league far longer than him. Her argument closely resembled that of Shannon Sharpe, who is adamant that Purdy gets away with a lot because of the players around him.
However, former All-Pro Super Bowl-winning running back LeSean McCoy, now an analyst with FOX, doesn’t share the same view as Trask. Maybe it’s the former chief in his talking that compelled him to take a dig at someone who was previously part of Kansas City’s bitter rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders.
McCoy shared Trask’s clip on Purdy with the caption,
See, this is why the raiders have been TRASH N GARBAGE for 20 years; they hire anyone. What is she talking about?
LeSean McCoy wrote along with a few laughing emojis.
Brock Purdy always found support from LeSean McCoy
This tweet wasn’t an isolated incident when Shady chose to side with the Iowa graduate. As early as September last season, he was confident that Brock Purdy was at least the second-best NFC quarterback, if not the best.
In an episode of FOX Sports Speak, he said:
When you look at Brock Purdy—I'm going to be honest about this—right now he's the second-best quarterback in the NFC.LeSean McCoy on Brock Purdy
Even during the recent segment of the show focused on the playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, McCoy was livid with Trask’s assessment of Purdy.
McCoy added:
This is why the Raiders have been bad for so long. They can't do anything good because they have people like that talking out loud. When you have a franchise—when you have people saying stuff like that—I can't even take you seriously.LeSean McCoy added
Kyle Shanahan‘s 49ers system is a very productive one. However, it’s Purdy who makes it tick because of how consistent he is. That doesn’t mean he hasn’t had bad games, throwing multiple picks. But he has also completed 4280 passing yards, threw 32 touchdowns, and has a 17-4 record as the starter.
As Shady argued, the draft position doesn’t matter if the team is benefiting from efficient quarterback play. He leads the league with 9.6 yards per throw along with the best yards per catch ratio (47.8) compared to the last two NFL MVPs, Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers.
