Mac Jones is currently the starting QB for the New England Patriots and things aren’t looking so bright for the 24-year-old. Jones has often had the problem of getting furious mid-game when things aren’t going his way.
The same was evident when the Patriots faced the Cardinals recently. Although they won the game 27-13, the Patriots QB was furious throughout the game.
Jones yelled at offensive coordinator Matt Patricia yet again during MNF. The 24-year-old QB waived off Patricia during a timeout and yelled “F**k off“. Jones was seen getting increasingly frustrated with Patricia’s play calling, among other things, and decided to snap back at the OC.
It is currently unclear how HC Bill Belichick and OC Matt Patricia reacted to this situation. Moreover, Belichick will have to try his best to mend the strained relationship between the QB and OC if he wishes to have a harmonious Patriots camp.
Jones is starting to become increasingly furious in every game and he has not proved himself to yell at his teammates or coaches like Tom Brady, who’s been proving himself for decades. However, yelling at a teammate or a coach mid-game in front of national television is never good, as it shows the team’s weaknesses out in the open.
Mac Jones has to bear the weight of high expectations in the New England Patriots

Mac Jones was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2021 and soon comparisons were being made to the great Tom Brady. The Bucs QB had just left the Patriots to join a new team and all the hopes and expectations fell on the shoulder of a rookie QB.
Expectations often lead to disappointment, and that may be the reason behind Jones’ frequent outbursts. The 24-year-old QB has looked like a shell of himself this season after having a great run last season.
There were also rumors of him getting replaced by rookie QB Bailey Zappe, although those didn’t come to fruition. Jones threw for 235 yards and an interception with zero touchdowns.
The Patriots QB should be thankful to the defense for playing a great game and ensuring a win against the Cardinals. Sadly, the slump of form for Mac Jones will continue until he mends his relationship with OC Matt Patricia and believe in the coach.
