Kirk Daniel Cousins has made a name for himself at the highest level. The talented played college football at Michigan State and immersed one and all with his performances. As a result, he was roped in by the Washington Redskins back in 2012.
Cousins was, at first, brought into the Washington-based side to serve as a backup for Robert Griffin III, however, he went on to replace Griffin after his injury in 2015 and served as the starting QB of the team till 2017. In 2018, he was roped in by the Vikings and he has been playing for them since then.

Without a doubt, Cousins is an extremely talented QB who has the ability to guide his side to important victories. However, it seems like Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah doesn’t seem to have a lot of faith in his own quarterback. In a recent interaction with USA Today’s Jori Epstein, Kwesi said some things which will not please Cousins at all.
“I’ll be frank: the one asset where you get nervous about not burning it down is quarterback,” he said, adding that although he considers Cousins to be “a good quarterback” but he is not a QB like Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. “You are more likely to win the Super Bowl if you have that quarterback. It’s very unlikely to have that quarterback,” he further stated.
Of course, having a QB like Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady boosts the chances of winning the title, however, the best team often takes the Lombardi more often than the team that had the best QB. Last year, a few QBs had better performances than Stafford but the Rams still ended up winning.
Such words from one’s own GM are only going to hurt Cousins. Moreover, in addition to all this, Adofo went on boasting his skills when it comes to interacting with the media. “On the math side, I hope it’s not going to sound arrogant, but I speak that better than any other GM. I don’t know that I speak (football) better than them, but my worst thing is probably better than their worst thing. You know what I mean? So I think my ability to communicate in really every room in the football building makes me unique,” he added.
