Former Seattle Seahawks’ legendary RB Marshawn Lynch was in the news for creating a mini ruckus outside a Seattle bar. The rusher turned into Beastmode over the weekend and smashed his fan’s phone outside a bar.
Jose Lozano, a supporter of the Hawks, tells TMZ Sports that the incident occurred on Sunday at around 1:30 AM in front of Xtadium in downtown Seattle. Earlier in the evening, Lozano claims he attempted to take a photo of Lynch inside the bar, but the Seahawks legend’s friends politely told him, “No pictures.”
However, a short while later, Lynch was spotted by Lozano outside the bar, and he made one final attempt to get the former Seattle running back to stop for a photo before leaving.
Viewers can see Lozano approaching Lynch, who is wearing a Beastmode sweatshirt, in the scene’s video and yelling:
Marshawn! Beastmode! Let me a take a --.Jose Lozano to Marshawn Lynch
Lynch though, lunged on his fan and grabbed his phone. Lozano revealed that Lynch took the phone and yelled, “Y’all mother f***ers are weird,” before smashing the mobile phone in his hands. Lozano however, did not go to the police, but wished that his idol wasn’t so “rude.”
This isn’t the first time Lynch has been accused of such incidents. He did a similar thing back in 2017, when he smacked a man’s phone in Los Angeles. Lynch — who hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2019 season — has been working as a contributor to Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” coverage this season.
Marshawn Lynch and Mike Tomlin shared a heartwarming moment last Sunday
The Pittsburgh Steelers played the Seattle Seahawks in their week 17 matchup. It was a crucial game for both teams, but it was the Steelers who came out on top in that one. Prior to the game, Steelers HC Mike Tomlin and former Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch shared a heartwarming moment on the sidelines at the Lumen Field.
The Steelers coach revealed that a jersey the running back had gifted to Tomlin’s son a decade ago was still hanging in his room today. Tomlin said:
Man, you sent my son a jersey about 10 years ago. That jersey’s been in my son’s room hanging up for like 10-11 years. His ass is in college and that jersey’s still up. Much respect to you, man.Mike Tomlin on Marshawn Lynch gifting his son a jersey
Lynch played in the NFL for 12 seasons. He had his best seasons in Seattle where he went to two Super Bowls, winning one. He was a five-time Pro-Bowler and was selected to an All-Pro team twice. Lynch retired in 2019.
