“Don’t know what that means,” Matt LaFleur vents out against Aaron Rodgers’ O-Line criticism after massive drubbing against Jets

“Don’t know what that means,” Matt LaFleur vents out against Aaron Rodgers’ O-Line criticism after massive drubbing against Jets

The Green Bay Packers are currently having a tough time as they try to build up a winning momentum to lay a good platform at the start of the season. Aaron Rodgers has failed to weave his magic so far for the Packers this season and it seems that he isn’t happy with what head coach Matt LaFleur is doing off the field.

After the Packers slumped to their third defeat of the season against the New York Jets in a 27-10 result, Rodgers finally vented out his true feelings on the offensive plays strategized by them. The 38-year-old distinctly wanted to simplify the franchise’s offensive plays in the upcoming fixtures to avoid such blowouts.

“A lot of it is simple mistakes. If we’re making simple mistakes on complex plays, to me we need to simplify some things,” Aaron Rodgers said after the defeat according to Packers insider Ryan Wood.

However, head coach Matt LaFleur wasn’t in sync with his star quarterback when asked about the latter’s comments during the post-match press conference.

“I don’t know what that means. We talked about it. Any time there’s a lack of execution… to me, it’s about digging at the details of what we’re doing. Because I think you could see that, and it falls on everybody,” Matt LaFleur said in response to Rodgers’ comments.

Certainly, again it always starts with us as coaches, trying to do a better job of getting guys to understand all the little intricacies, because I think that’s really what separates a lot of plays in this league. It really doesn’t matter what we do schematically. If we don’t block better, it’s hard to do anything. And I think that was really the No. 1 issue yesterday.”

Now it remains to be seen, what the Packers eventually decide and do to improve their offensive plays, something which has been a worry for the franchise ever since the start of the preseason.
