The Kansas City Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes has had a rough week. Although they won their last game on Sunday against the New England Patriots, the superstar QB is still facing the repercussions of his sideline explosion during their game against the Bills last Sunday. Mahomes exploded on the refs after they ruled out the Chiefs’ go-ahead touchdown for offensive offside.
Against the Patriots, however, Mahomes and the Chiefs benefitted from a flag in the third quarter. During the Chiefs’ first offensive drive in the third period, a defensive holding penalty canceled a Chiefs fumble and recovery by Patriots’ defenseman Jabrill Peppers. That drive yielded three points to the Chiefs as they added on to their lead. Kansas City eventually won the game, 27-17.

Patriots’ linebacker Matthew Judon took a dig at Mahomes and the NFL refs after the game. The defenseman took to Twitter and commented on an AI-generated post of Mahomes kissing an official. His comment read, “I see no lies.” The officials have been accused by a lot of fans of favoritism towards the reigning league and Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes finished the game with 305 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions while leading his team to a much-needed victory. So far this season, the signal-caller has racked up 3,703 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. He and the Chiefs will look to build on this win next Monday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Patrick Mahomes reveals his plans for the upcoming games
The Kansas City Chiefs will have to win almost all of their remaining three games to have a shot at the number one seed in the AFC. They desperately needed a win against the New England Patriots on Sunday after losing their last two games in a row.
Their QB, Patrick Mahomes, talked about the Chiefs’ upcoming games and his mindset heading into the final stages of the regular season.

I thought we did a good job that last drive of burning some time off the clock and so you got to learn from the mistakes. Keep doing it, keep getting better. I’m going to try to play our best football.Mahomes said
The Chiefs will welcome the Las Vegas Raiders to Arrowhead Stadium next Monday. They will hope to win the game and get closer to the Baltimore Ravens, who sit pretty at the top of the AFC.
