“He bleeds the same way,” Micah Parsons reveals his plan to contain Tom Brady in the Wild Card game against Tampa Bay

The playoffs are where legends are made and Micah Parsons is looking to defeat one such legend in Tom Brady on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.

Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys kicked off the 2022 season, facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now to kick off their playoff run, the Cowboys are once again facing Tom Brady and the Bucs who defeated them in Week 1. Dallas’ recent loss has everyone wondering whether they can defeat Brady who has won against them in every encounter.

Parsons, the Cowboys-priced linebacker, has been pretty much absent in the last four weeks given his drop in production. The defense needs to be on their toes if they wish to stop Brady from pulling off a last-minute victory, and Parsons is at the center of this defense.

Before his encounter with the 7x Super Bowl champion, Parsons has been gushing about Brady and his competitive drive, which has him playing at 45. “He wants to step on your throat like you’re a roach. And that’s what you look for in competitors. I think that’s why if you’re a real competitor, you look up to Tom Brady,” Parsons said during a recent interview.

Parsons, 23, has established himself as a competitive guy who will stop at nothing to be the best there is, and his hunger to win games is almost similar to Tom Brady. “It’s always cool going against Brady because, s***, none of us know when his last game is. So hopefully we get the win & get to be known for being the last,” he said cheekily, hoping to be the last guy to catch an interception from one of the greats of the game.

Talking about the different ways to tackle Tom Brady, the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year said, “Like any other QB—he bleeds the same way.. He’s just a better QB than most. So the challenge is higher.” The Cowboys don’t just have to get Brady feeling uncomfortable in the pocket, they actually have to lay a hand on him to stop the quarterback from scoring.

Tom Brady has the fastest time to throw the ball in the league at 2.5 seconds. So Micah Parsons will have to become The Flash if he wishes to sack the Bucs signal-caller. Like Parsons said that Brady does bleed the same way, but he has 23 years worth of experience and has played every possible scenario and won all of them.

So in short, Parsons has a monumental task ahead of him if he wants to take the Dallas Cowboys to the Super Bowl since the offense hasn’t been a big help to them in the past week. The Dallas Cowboys will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday. Let’s see if Parsons can make Brady bleed or not.
