Micah Parsons is an incredible young athlete who’s extremely good for his age. The 23-year-old has been one of the best in his position since he was drafted in 2021 by the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys’ LB played extremely well this season. Although his form dipped a bit around the second half of the season, his overall performance was still exemplary.
Parsons led the league in pressures applied and ranked seventh in total sacks while recording more than 50 tackles in a single season. Therefore, it was hard to accept the fact that Parsons wasn’t chosen to be a part of the NFL All-Pro list that was released after the regular season ended.
The 23 year old seemed furious after the snub and let his feelings known to everyone through Twitter. “Man I’m in playoff mode fu** that list!” Parsons tweeted Wednesday. “Congrats to those that made it tho! They deserve it !”
The NFL All-Pro list included Roquan Smith of the Ravens and Fred Warner from the 49ers as the two other LBs. There was no mention of Parsons and social media was also pissed about it.
Micah Parsons was part of the All-Pro list for the past two seasons and even won the Defensive rookie of the year award. The All-Pro list is decided after a vote by 50 media personnel.
There were numerous controversies that the Cowboys LB found himself in, maybe, that’s the reason he wasn’t included in the All-Pro list this season.
Micah Parsons is instead focused on the playoff game next week
Parsons called out the league for their horrible snub and stated that he is focused on the playoff game instead. The Cowboys are set to face the Bucs for their first playoff game of the season.
However, they have been drawn against one of the weakest sides in the playoffs, though the QB who leads them is dangerous. Tom Brady has an impeccable record in the playoffs and the Bucs QB rarely loses.
On the other hand, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has often found himself being out of form for important matches and is 1-3 in the playoffs. The Cowboys seriously need a win and another early exit from the playoffs won’t be tolerated by owner Jerry Jones.
However, their opposition also has a lot on the line as this can go down as Brady’s last-ever playoff push and the legendary QB will give it his all for the 8th Super Bowl ring. Micah Parsons will be integral to the team if they want to constrict the Bucs’ QB.
