The Dallas Cowboys did not have the best of finishes to their season in the last season, as they lost out against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Wild Card playoff encounter. However, they had maintained their number 1 spot in the NFC East division and were one of the better teams in the league.
Ahead of the 2022 NFL draft, Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones made a massive statement on the signing of one of the most promising defenders in the league last year from the draft. The veteran owner, stated that it was he who made the decision to bring in Micah Parsons.
Jerry Jones said it was Stephen who drafted Taco Charlton
Speaking in the press conference, Jerry Jones said, “Our process is an inclusive one. We’ve said it. There’s a lot of talk in this business about who makes the call, who actually makes the call. Taco was Stephen’s call, Parsons was my call.”
The signing proved crucial for the Cowboys last season, as he had a terrific rookie year in the league and was one of the standout defenders in the past completed season. He was named the NFL defensive rookie of the year, while also getting himself into the NFL Pro Bowl team, in his debut season.
The Cowboys will look to bring in more such quality talent during the offseason NFL 2022 draft this year, which will take place on the 28th to the 30th of April in Las Vegas.
