The former Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick is one of the most entertaining quarterbacks to ever step on the football field. He played in the NFL for 13 years with four different teams. He is one of the first quarterbacks to use his rushing ability to gain an advantage over the defense.
Now, a lot of QBs like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts are using their rushing ability a lot, but Vick was the pioneer of it. However, the 4-time Pro Bowl QB Michael Vick has now expressed his regret over his playing style.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill‘s It Needed To Be Said podcast, the former Falcons QB said, “I wish I would have slowed my game down to more of a Patrick or a Jalen [Hurts] or a Josh Allen, that type of control. Playing quarterback is all about being in control. Like, just imagine busting out a 40-yard run, kind of making all these people miss, you tired, you get back in the huddle, and it looked good.”
Despite being remembered for being one of the most electric NFL players, the six-foot QB wishes he could’ve slowed his game down a bit so that he could have had more control over the game like the Kansas City Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes and the Buffalo Bills‘ Josh Allen. He also claimed his style of playing is similar to that of the Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Michael Vick played in the NFL for 13 years

The Virginia Tech product Michael Vick was drafted by the Falcons as the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. The talented signal-caller went on to play in the league for 13 years with four different teams.
During his remarkable career, Vick faced some issues due to his off-the-field activities. Back in 2007, Vick, who was in the prime stage of his career, was banned for two years for violating the league’s conduct policies.
The suspension came after he was arrested for his involvement in dogfighting in 2007. Vick came back from his suspension in 2009 and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles but only started one game before suffering a season-ending injury.
In the next year, Vick dominated the league and ended up winning the Comeback Player of the Year. After his tenure in Philadelphia, Vick had a couple of brief stints with the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers before eventually retiring from football in 2017.
