Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel hailed Aaron Rodgers as the latter tried to get in touch with the Miami Dolphins linebacker (LB) Jaelan Phillips after Phillips suffered a major injury. He did not reveal what exactly Rodgers told Phillips but his gesture suggested that the veteran and legendary quarterback extended his moral support to the injured defender.

This is not something new for Rodgers. He did the same thing with Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and J.K. Dobbins after both suffered their season-ending Achilles injuries.

On Sunday night, the Miami Dolphins encountered the New York Jets. It was another cakewalk for the Dolphins as they stunned the Jets by 31-14. On the other hand, frustrating nights continued for the Jets as they suffered their seventh defeat in the season. However, Phillips’ injury became the talking point after the game as the LB suffered a non-contact Achilles injury.

Speaking on Phillips’ injury, McDaniel had a reference to Rodgers. He said, Rodgers contacted Philips and had some conversations regarding injuries. Here is what he had to say:

Aaron Rodgers was working some channels to get in touch with Jaelan as if last night through common people that have some relationships with them. And you know he is the smart guy and he is not afraid to chase the most exotic signs. I think that is something that specifies Jaelan Philips. He is one of those old-school 'always done this way' types of guys. I think players' relationships are actually tangible for rehabilitation.

Aaron Rodgers suffered a big blow on his leg in the very first game and everyone thought that the injury would end his season. However, Rodgers showed extreme tenacity in his revival process and his comeback seems possible now.

Aaron Rodgers might make a comeback in two weeks

As things stand right now, Aaron Rodgers might have a comeback in two weeks. Jay Glazer, a Fox Sports analyst reported that Rodgers is set to come back to New York and can play the remaining games for the Jets. It was earlier fixed that Rodgers would play only if the Jets managed to reach playoffs, however, a change in his mind has been reported in his mentality.

Glazer said on Fox’s Thanksgiving pregame show:

I was told originally, ‘Look if they are out of playoff contention then Aaron is probably not going to try and come back. Well, that changed this past week. I think Aaron, even if they’re out of it, still wants to show he was able to come back faster from that Achilles tear, faster than pretty much any quarterback ever.

If Rodgers finally comes back to the field by December two then he will be the quickest ever to recover Achilles Tendon.
