“Move on the HC, drop the QB” Colin Cowherd boldly calls for Broncos HC to be fired and urges to drop QB Russell Wilson to solve their crisis
The Denver Broncos were predicted to compete for the Super Bowl as they bought in a new HC Nathaniel Hackett and superstar QB Russell Wilson from the Seahawks.
Everything that could go wrong for the Seahawks has gone wrong as they are currently 2-4 in the NFL with important fixtures in the coming week and Colin Cowherd is having none of this.
Colin Cowherd went on a lengthy rant on the Herd to criticize Russell Wilson and the Broncos, but the NFL analyst also later had some insights and tips for the Broncos that can help them solve their crisis.
Russell Wilson is a big money signing of $160 million for 6 years and it will be hard moving him on, so Colin Cowherd urged the Broncos management to instead fire the new inexperienced HC Nathaniel Hackett as he is not able to coordinate with Wilson properly.
“Doesn’t matter if it’s fair…Nathaniel Hackett is not the answer. You’ve got to move off him after the year,” Colin Cowherd argued when stating his reason to fire the new HC.
For now, though, Hackett isn’t going anywhere and it would be too quick to fire him as we are just 6 games into the season. Maybe he can turn it around, maybe not.
“You have to roll the dice. There’s no way out of this:” Colin Cowherd urges the Broncos to take the gamble that can change their fortunes
The Russell Wilson deal was too good to be true as people weren’t finding the reason Wilson decided to move from the Seahawks to join the Broncos. Maybe money was one reason.
Although what’s done is done as Colin Cowherd pushes for the Broncs to instead draft a new QB in round 3 next April and try to find a quality QB that can give tough competition to Russell Wilson and even help him find his form.
Though currently, the Broncos will just have to keep moving forward as there are no immediate solutions to this problem. The only immediate solution to the problem is better performance, something the Broncos haven’t been able to pull off this season. Their offense has looked consistently shaky but has a decent defense.
The Denver Broncos have a huge test in front of them next week when they face the in-form New York Jets and a statements victory in that game can help bring the momentum back to Denver.
