New training footage from the New York Jets‘ practice sessions has recently made headlines. And it seems like quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dead serious about making his comeback and leading his team to a fine finish as the regular season approaches its final few weeks.

The Jets had a little bit of hope when Zach Wilson was named as the starting, and he led the team to a remarkable 30-6 victory against the Houston Texans in week 14. However, now that he, as well, has been listed on the injury report, the Jets desperately need Rodgers. And with this new footage, it seems it won’t be that long.

Last month, the nine-time Pro Bowler talked about his potential return date to be pre-Christmas, by December 24th, after fully recovering from his Achilles injury that he suffered after two snaps into this season. The team opened a 21-day practice window for the quarterback, but his participation was limited.

However, in this fresh video via Rich Cimini, the Jets’ newly traded quarterback was already performing fast drills and throwing bombs with his right arm. His moves were extremely good, especially for a player who sustained a career-ending injury just a few months ago.

The 40-year-old can be seen running, pivoting, and putting good weights on his leg. It’s quite surprising to see him, as the quarterback hasn’t played since September 11. The former Super Bowl MVP’s recovery rate has been remarkably speedy, and if everything goes well, Rodgers would surely slam the record for returning on the field just 104 days after enduring the injury.

What are the odds for Aaron Rodgers returning to play against the Commanders?

As QB Rodgers’ potential return date is less than two weeks away, New York is scheduled to face off against the Miami Dolphins and Washington Commanders in the coming two weeks.

The franchise had expected to have Wilson starting against the Dolphins; however, with his knee injury, nothing can be said for sure.

Meanwhile, as Rodgers plans to return before Christmas, he is likely to take over as starting QB in week 16, against the Commanders. Although nothing is absolutely confirmed right now, it depends on how Rodgers performs in the practice sessions. It also depends on whether or not Rodgers’ Achilles tendons have fully recovered.

The franchise and the fans are going through a phase of anxiety and nervousness in these two weeks until Rodgers finally sets foot on the field.
