‘One of the very best athletes in all of sports’ NFL legend Tom Brady hails Rafael Nadal as one of the greatest ever

Rafael Nadal, Tom Brady

Tom Brady is one of the biggest stars in the world of the NFL. It won’t be wrong if we say that he is the perfect poster boy for the biggest sporting league in the world. Although Brady shocked everyone after he announced his retirement in haste after the previous season ended, he was able to put a smile back on the faces of the fans by unretiring in a matter of weeks.

While many did find his decision-making rather abrupt, there is no denying the fact that with him coming back, the league would be all the more fun to follow. His stats are too good to be true and the fact that he continues to outperform several other top QBs when he is well into his mid-40s shows that he is one of a kind.

Talking about talents that are one of a kind, Rafael Nadal has started off brilliantly at the 2022 French Open, a tournament he practically rules. Nadal was plagued by a number of injuries in the recent past but the man made a thumping comeback on the biggest stage when he defeated current US Open champion, Daniil Medvedev, in the finals of this year’s Australian Open.

Nadal currently has 21 Grand Slam titles, more than any other player in the history of tennis which is enough to prove why he is so special. Recently, Nadal was included in the list of Time’s Top 100 Most Influential People of 2022 and Brady had a few things to say about the southpaw from Spain.

I admire athletes who push themselves to the limit, and I’m absolutely inspired every time Rafa takes the court. There’s something to be learned from watching his determination, his strategy, everything that it takes for him to never take any moment for granted. He’s forever going to be remembered as one of the very best athletes in all of sports,” Brady claimed as reported by TIME.

Indeed, there is absolutely no one denying the fact that Nadal thoroughly deserves to be on the list. The way he has bounced back from the injuries to rule the game all over again is magical to witness. We hope Tom also strikes his best form in the coming season and ends up winning his 8th Super Bowl Title.
