Analyst Nick Wright finally gave his flowers to the Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson after seeing his glorious performance against the Houston Texans. The quarterback had a four-touchdown game against the Texans and won the trust of the analyst. One of the major reasons, Wright said that Lamar Jackson is a ‘Hall of Famer,’ in the latest episode of The First Take.
Nick Wright said:
Listen, Lamar Jackson is now a Hall of Famer. He has got two league MVPs. I am counting this year's. He is going to win it. We had a weird discussion as he has never won a playoff game. He had, but he never played in the playoff game... I just need to see him be awesome in the playoffs.Nick Wright said
He further noted that in the playoff game, Jackson was not at his usual best in the first half. It was the defense that played well. Nonetheless, the quarterback came roaring back. After a lot of cursing, the QB provided two touchdowns with accurate passing. It was his continuous endeavors that changed the fortune of the Ravens. In addition, the defense played really well to restrict the Texans’ players.
This season, the Ravens have had a stellar performance on the turf. They had the best record in the NFL, finishing the season with 13 wins and 4 losses. They got the fittest Lamar Jackson since his first MVP year. In addition, they got Odell Beckham Jr. after a year.
Lamar Jackson has a major test to pass
Lamar Jackson will play probably the toughest game in his life against the Chiefs in the NFL Conference Championships. The Chiefs have some of the best records in the postseason.
This season also, the Chiefs accelerated in the postseason. Their performance did not reflect the struggles that they had in the regular season. Mahomes came back to his usual best and destroyed the opponents in the playoffs.
Apart from a Mahomes vs. Jackson battle, the NFL world would witness a battle between two of the finest defenses in the league. The Chiefs’ defense has not given away more than 30 points this season. The Ravens’ defense has been pretty decent as well, restricting every top stars who have played against them.
